INTRODUCING OUR CATS
We have 2 cats in our family...
We got Jerry a wee silver tabby 8 years ago from the Cats Protection league at the local branch
in Hillend, Fife. He was about 7 weeks old when we got him, his mother was a feral Dockyard Cat from Rosyth and
Jerry was extremely timid, He hid underneath the bookcase for about the first 2 weeks it took us a long time to get him used
to the domestic life!
Jerry is such a loving cat, he loves to be outdoors and catches loads of mice, where he finds them
all we have no idea!, he once brought home a baby rabbit (dead) played with it in the front garden and when we got up the
next morning all that was left was a pair of ears and a wee pile of intestines on the front lawn.. he ate the whole bunny!
We converted a small shed that we had a couple of months ago and built a run especially for Jerry
and he now lives outside permanently the reason for this being Hovis!.. He reached maturity around the end of August/September 2006 and
dcided he hated the site of Jerry and turned nasty on him, chasing him round the walls in the house and spraying on him (yuk)
so rather than parting with one of our cats and having to rehome one we came up with this solution.
Hovis arrived in November 2004, aged 12 weeks, he is a Birman and such a great cat, but very
demanding.. We bought him from Elaine Pace in Dunfermline who breeds Birmans, his Pedigree name is "Paceland Hovis".
He is quite a character and quite unlike any cat we have ever owned before, but we all love him to
bits.
