Wednesday 13th September 2006

Today is the day the Timber and the Top Soil were being delivered, so I decided to take the day off work just to make sure everything got here ok. . in true fashion everything arrived at the same time! 2 lorries parked outside the front!! wonder what my neighbours thought..

The good thing was the deliveries arrived at 8.30am which gave me the rest of the day to move the timber round to the back garden and potter around.

I guess the initial outlay was expensive but I will now have 3 really nice vegetable beds with good quality top soil.

Today I have updated the site to contain a link to another website..

My Big Sister Janet owns the best bar in Magaluf, Majorca, THE BRONZE BAR......they have worked extremely hard over the last 3 years to build the business up to what it is today.. it has an excellent reputation for being a friendly scottish pub with simply the best home cooked breakfasts, lunches and evening meals....

Janet's website in still "under construction" but i'm sure if you pop in and give it a wee visit, you will be made to feel more than welcome..

and Janet if your reading this.... big hugs, kisses and love u to bits x

Sunday 31st January 2006

Well what a day weather wise its been today, talk about sending the old year out with a bang! .. Our back Fence has been reduced to a pile of rubble with the strong winds here, its going to be a repair for us to do tomorrow.. the back garden is like a quagmire and its way too windy to do anything about it tonight...

Lastly... We wish everyone visiting our site a very happy, healty and prosperous New Year...

See you all in 2007!!

Wednesday 21st February 2007.

Is the day we take delivery of the sharp sand and gravel and cement.. i've no ideas of the quantities involved, but this will be used to make a concrete base for the new greenhouse.

I have asked robin to make it big enough so that i can walk all the way round it for cleaning purposes, plus somewhere to put my big pots that the potatoes will be growing in .. I'll post pictures at the weekend of the progress as thats when we are starting the project.. weather dependent of course..

Saturday 24th March 2007..

Finally we have a great day weather wise to allow us to get started with the foundations for the new Greenhouse..

The foundation has been marked out and Robin is starting to dig it out, with a little help from the chickens, they are on worm duty.. everytime he digs a clod of muck out theyre right in there scoffing the worms !
